news-34738Mon, 27 Nov 2023 09:16:17 +0100Meet our new Event Assistant!https://internationalstaff.au.dk/news-and-events/show-1/artikel/meet-our-new-event-assistantOn 23. October we welcomed our new Event Assistant Lena Albertsen Vammen to our team at the International Staff Office."It is a privilege to be an Event Assistant at ISO; I am a part of a great team that works within an exciting and meaningful field and my colleagues are very kind. These are important factors to me as they allow me to thrive professionally."

Lena joined the ISO team on 23. October as our new Event Assistant. She has an AP Degree in Service and Hospitality and is well versed in networking events. She has also spent time in Spain working in trade association as an intern, which showed her the importance of receiving a warm welcome when arriving in a new country:

"Previously, I have worked with professional network events, and therefore I chose to get an AP Degree in Service and Hospitality (with a profile in Sport & Event Management). I took my internship in Spain where I worked in a trade association where I was an event and marketing assistant, which was very exciting. I learned how important it is to be well received when arriving in a new country. My Spanish colleagues included me in their spare time activities and introduced me to their families and this improved my internship greatly. This is an insight and experience that I bring with me in my interaction with the international employees that ISO works with, and the challenges one can meet when arriving in a new country."

As an Event Assistant, Lena will be helping out with the practicalities of ISO events and activities:

"My tasks at ISO are to assist practically and administratively with events, which includes putting events on our website, creating follow-up surveys, preparing coffee and tea for our weekly Monday Meetings, assisting at our events and preparing our Welcome packages for new arrivals. ISO events are exciting to work with because I enjoy doing tasks that help facilitate networks for other people and contribute to their well-being. I look forward to further assisting in this area."

Dance Ballerina Dance is a deeply charming and exuberant performance accompanied by Christmas music and beautiful dancing. It is a perfect way to begin the Christmas season.

The show is a love story of the young successful ballerina Audrey and jazz musician Gene who despite challenges, doubts and misunderstandings, find each other. However, not without a little magical help from 'Santa', who spreads both Christmas spirit and love behind the scenes.
