Meet the new Mobility Consultant at the International Staff Office

A familiar face is returning to the International Staff Office, as Jane Frahm rejoins the office as Mobility Consultant. Jane will support new international hires with relocating to Denmark, and she will guide HR on rules within international social security.

Here are a few words from Jane herself about her new job:

“I am really happy to be back at the International Staff Office, where I can support both internationals and the university’s administrative staff with all the different challenges related to cross-border employment. I have lived in several different countries myself, so I know how it feels to get registered and settled in a different country. I have not always been so lucky as to receive help during that process, and I know that I usually had 100 different questions, so I believe that our work really makes a difference for newly hired international staff and their families.

I am originally from Germany but moved to Spain after I finished high school. I have an MA in English and Spanish from AU and have also lived in Chile and the US. Much of my work during the past seven years has been related to global mobility, both in the private sector and at Aarhus University, where I first started as a maternity cover at the International Staff Office three years ago. During the past year and a half, I have been working in HR at the Faculty of Arts, where I have, among other things, worked with complex cross-border employment regulations, including international social security.

My husband and I live together with our three kids in Viby, and the whole family is of course bilingual. We are happy to be well settled in Denmark, and I am now very much looking forward to using both my personal and professional experience to help other international families relocate smoothly to Denmark.”
