Meet the new Event Coordinator and Communications Officer at the International Staff Office

A familiar face is returning to the International Staff Office, as Louise Lønroth rejoins the office in a new position focused on coordinating events and communicating ISO activities across AU

Here are a few words from Louise herself about her new job:

“I am delighted to be back at the International Staff Office for 2026, where I am stepping into the role of Event Coordinator and Communications Officer. The purpose of my position is to create a safe environment for internationals at AU who are looking to find new or expand their social circles, and to ensure that they feel supported and welcome, not only at Aarhus University but also in Denmark.

I have held several roles at the International Staff Office, including student assistant, intern and communications officer during a project-based position. Through these roles, I have gained experience with various procedures and event coordination. With that being said, this is a new role that requires a different level of involvement, and while I am familiar with the services we provide, I look forward to the new learning opportunities it brings.

With an academic background in English, I have experience working in diverse environments with people from a wide range of backgrounds, interests, and personalities. I believe the strongest social environments are those where everyone feels heard, included and comfortable being themselves, and this is the approach I will bring to the events I coordinate in the future.

During my time at Aarhus University, I had the pleasure of meeting both administrative and academic staff. The connections I formed during this time were a key reason for my excitement to return, and I am delighted to have the opportunity to reconnect with these colleagues while also meeting many new people across the university.”
